Welcome to the 8th edition of the ® French Throwdown Last year 3500 athletes challenged themselves to win their place at the FTD Finals. This year the competition for the French Throwdown will be even tougher since the best man, the best woman and the best team will win their places for Games 2019.

The ®French Throwdown is open to everyone.
The categories will be:
Individual:
Elite (The male and female winner will be invited to Games 2019)
RX
Intermediate
Scaled
Masters (35-39, 40-44, 45+, 50+)
Teens
Teams (2 men and 2 women):
Teams Elite (The winning team will be invited to Games 2019)
Teams RX
Intermediate Teams
Qualifications Individual:
Qualifications will take place over 2 weeks at the rate of 2 wods per week.
19/04/2019: Announcement of Wod 1 and 2 at 8 pm French time
24/04/2019: Submit Wod 1 and 2 scores before 8pm French time
26/04/2019: Announcement of Wod 3 and 4 at 8 pm French time
01/05/2019: Submit Wod 3 and 4 scores before 8 pm French time
All athletes will have to participate in qualifying. (No invitation available)
Team Qualifications:
A series of Wod will be announced on May 6th and all the scores will have to be submitted on May 13th before 8am French time.
In the Elite category, no team changes will be tolerated.
In Individual, there will be 4 qualifying Wods in total over 2 weeks.
As a team, a series of wods will be shared between teammates. You do not have to be together for the qualifications. Super teams are allowed.
If the athlete or team wishes to have the opportunity to participate in the final, athletes will need to provide video links to their scores so that the FTD team can check them. Without video, the FTD team will be given the opportunity to cancel the score (s).
At the end of the qualifications, we will announce the qualified ones. The final will take place on 28, 29 and 30 June 2019 at the National Velodrome of St-Quentin en Yvelines near Paris
This championship is open to all nationalities and there is no obligation to be domiciled in France.

Individual Qualifiers:

19/04/2019: Workout 1 and 2 announced at 8pm french time
24/04/2019: Workout 1 and 2 must be submitted by 8pm french time
04/26/2019: Workout 3 and 4 advertised at 8pm french time
01/05/2019: Workout 3 and 4 must be submitted by 8pm french time
All athletes must take part in the qualifiers (No wild cards available)




Team Qualifiers:
A series of workouts will be announced on the 6th of May 2019 and all scores will be submitted by the 13th of May 8am French Time.
In the elite category, no change in the team rosters will be allowed.
In the individual category, there will be 4 qualifying workouts over two weeks.
In the team category, there will be several workouts to be shared between all team mates. Being together during qualifiers is NOT needed. Super teams are allowed.
If an athlete or a team wants to take part in the final event, they will need to submit a video link along with their scores when submitting their scores so that the FTD Team can verify all performances if needed. If videos have not been submitted, the FTD Team has the possibility to cancel a or all scores.
